Why Should You Buy Hornworms?
The huge advantage of hornworms is that they have extremely high calcium content, very low fat (3%), and really high moisture levels. In addition, our’s are fed a high-quality diet that helps make them extra nutritious. They are the most popular new feeder on the market today.
What Species Eat Hornworms?
Any desert species that relies upon its food for moisture should relish hornworms, including uromastyx, collared lizards, agamas, tarantulas, scorpions, and many more. Other big fans of hornworms are bearded dragons, chameleons, leopard geckos, salamanders, and many different frogs and toads. Often times, a finicky eater will absolutely demolish our bright green hornworms.
How Large Will My Hornworms Get?
They can get up to 4″ long, but when you receive them they will be either 1″ (with enough food to get them to 2″) or 2″-3″ (with enough food to get them to 4″), depending on what option you choose on the menu above. Each hassle-free hornworm pod will contain the necessary food needed to sustain them for several weeks. They are tough worms and die-off is rare.
